Opening KinoFlow
Beta, October 2026. For Macs with an Apple chip (M1 and later), macOS 13 or newer.
After the download
Open the file that arrived and drag Kino into Applications. Then open KinoFlow from Applications, as you would any app.
macOS says it cannot verify the app
Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down to the line about KinoFlow and choose Open Anyway, then enter your password. That line is there for an hour after the first try; if it is gone, open the app once more and look again.
macOS calls the app damaged, or moves it to the Trash
Drag it back into Applications, open Terminal, paste this line and press Return, then open the app again.
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/KinoFlow.app
It asks to use the keychain
Choose Always Allow: that is where your sign-in is kept. Until the app is signed with Apple, each new version asks once more.
Updates
The app checks for a newer version when it starts and every few hours, and offers it to you. There is nothing to do on this page for that.
An Intel Mac, or macOS 12 or earlier
The beta does not run there yet. Write to [email protected] and we will tell you when it does.
